Samsung galaxy a3 screen resolution. Samsung Galaxy A3 SM-A300f - a review of the pros and cons. SAR level indicates the amount of electromagnetic radiation absorbed by the human body while using a mobile device

Compact, inexpensive and functional - this is how you can characterize Samsung A3 2015. It should be said right away that the device is suitable for the most basic tasks - such as surfing the Internet, and also for talking on the phone as a navigator, it is not recommended to use the device. The phone is equipped with a 4-core processor at 1200 MHz and 1 GB of RAM, this is usually enough for full use, although not the fastest. We should also mention the matrix, which perfectly conveys the color gamut and has good viewing angles. In general, we will recommend Samsung A3 2015 for acquaintance with the mk device in its segment occupies a high position

The Samsung Galaxy A3 is an Android smartphone with typically budget specifications.

How is he interesting?

In this unit, premium-class housing materials are used; in particular, the case is completely made of metal. Due to this, the Galaxy A3 looks prettier and feels better in the hand than many more expensive Samsung phones.

What does it look like?

Samsung Galaxy A3 looks very pretty. We got a white apparatus for review, in which the front panel is decorated with a “dot” texture, which can be seen from a certain angle. The metal case is painted slightly “mother-of-pearl” enamel, all the cutouts for the connectors and buttons are made very carefully. The back cover is non-removable, so it does not creak or hang.

The arrangement of buttons and connectors is standard for Samsung. Under the screen is a mechanical Home key, as well as touch buttons for calling up the multitasking menu and return. On the left side there is a dual volume control key, on the right side is the lock button and trays for a nanoSIM SIM card (4FF) and a microSD memory card. The microUSB connector and headphone output are located on the bottom.

Due to its compact size, the Galaxy A3 fits perfectly in your hand. By the way, in winter, when used outdoors, the metal case causes more negative emotions than positive ones.

What about the screen?

Samsung Galaxy A3 is equipped with a SuperAMOLED screen, the diagonal of the matrix is \u200b\u200b4.5 inches, the resolution is 960x540 pixels. Subpixels are arranged according to the PenTile scheme, so that around the contrasting small interface elements, including fonts, colored “borders” are noticeable, and in general the clarity of the text suffers.

The maximum screen brightness of the Samsung Galaxy A3 is 353 cd / m2, the contrast, like all AMOLED matrices, tends to infinity. It was not possible to evaluate readability in bright sunlight due to the lack thereof.

For those who want to know more

Personally, I was confused by the rather long delay between the shutter sound and the moment when the phone takes a picture. This can lead to blurry pictures and other troubles.

Performance and autonomy

The smartphone uses the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 platform. The processor combines four 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 cores with a maximum clock frequency of 1.2 GHz and Adreno 306 graphics. Due to the small screen resolution, the graphics power is more than enough for games. The main “brake” of progress in the Galaxy A3 is a small amount of RAM (only 1 GB) - taking into account the gluttony of the TouchWiz proprietary shell, this is frankly not enough. In the process of everyday use, there are lags when the phone suddenly “thinks” for some time.

Given the efficiency of the platform on which the smartphone is built, it is not surprising that the built-in battery with a capacity of 1900 mAh is enough for about a day and a half with 3-4 hours of screen activity.

In the dry residue

Samsung Galaxy A3 is a smartphone, the key feature of which is a combination of minimally decent technical specifications today with a very nice appearance and premium (sorry) case materials. From here one can derive a portrait of its target audience: these are people for whom the image component is more important than the technical one. Everyone else, taking into account the recommended cost of the Galaxy A3 (4000 UAH), I recommend that you familiarize yourself with our material on choosing the best smartphone up to 3000 UAH: it is in this price category that there are approximate analogues of the hero of this review from the point of view of technical equipment.

Deciding on the type of device (phone or smartphone?) Is quite simple. If you need a simple and inexpensive device for calls and SMS, it is recommended to stop the choice on the phone. A smartphone is more expensive, but it offers a wide variety of options: games, video, Internet, thousands of programs for all occasions. However, the battery life is much shorter than that of a simple phone.

CPU

South Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung has already launched several series of its Galaxy smartphones. It may seem to many users that Koreans mostly rivet smartphones similar to each other. We will consider all the differences between smartphones from each other of the same line, series and model, but of different years of production. What is the difference between Samsung Galaxy A3 2014 and Galaxy A3 2016?

2014 A3 model brief

Back in 2013-2014, Korean Alpha smartphones suffered a crushing defeat in the smart phone market. Due to their cost and small capabilities, they were not well sold, so Apple and the Chinese Noname oppressed Samsung. In order not to lose ground, a new series of smartphones was launched.

The very first smartphone of the A line - the Galaxy A3 of 2014 - recaptured the position lost on the market due to the excellent combination of price and quality. What happened on the output:

  • Metal case and rugged screen with Gorilla Glass protection.
  • The device runs on Android 4.4.
  • In terms of communications, it has Wi-Fi, LTE, NFS and Bluetooth. Two SIM cards.
  • From navigation systems, GPS, GLONASS and Beidou were built into the smartphone.
  • The device was also equipped with powerful cameras - front 5MP, main 8MP.
  • Screen size of 4.5 inches with a resolution of 960x540.
  • Quad-core A53 processor at 1.2 GHz, very powerful for devices of that time.
  • RAM for 1 GB.
  • The free space on the drive is 16 GB, but in fact only 11 (the OS takes 4 more). The memory can be expanded up to 128 GB using memory cards.
  • And a non-removable 1900 mAh battery. In normal operation, holds a charge of up to 2 days.

The old device was calculated on an average price category, the new model is more suitable for a high price category.

Changes to the 2016 A3 model

Despite the fact that the A3 proved to be excellent in the market in 2014-2015, there were certain flaws in it. Instead of forgetting about the old A3, the Koreans decided to improve the smartphone and continue to produce the A series, adding the year 2016 to the name and changing the serial number to SM-A310F.

The output turned out to be a device in which all bugs were fixed and the firmware and hardware were optimized for modern user requests. Now the smartphone has the following characteristics:

  • Metal case with improved screen protection Gorilla Glass 4, 2.5D glass on both sides.
  • The new version of the OS is Android 5.1.
  • In terms of communications, navigation and the number of SIM cards, there are no special changes.
  • The main camera has been improved - instead of 8MP, now 13. The front camera has undergone minor changes.
  • The screen has become a little bigger and better - 4.7 inches (instead of 4.5) and HD resolution (1280x720).
  • The processor has improved, now instead of 1.2 GHz - 1.5 GHz.
  • In terms of internal memory, there are no changes.
  • RAM is increased by 512 MB and now is 1.5 GB.
  • The non-removable battery has improved, instead of 1900 mA / h - 2300 mA / h. The charge should last longer, but due to more demanding applications and powerful hardware, the benefits are almost nullified.

Is the 2016 A3 worth the money

Opinions differ here. On the one hand, it is a more powerful and stylish smartphone. But on the other - it is a more expensive smartphone, the power of which has not increased so much compared to the previous model, and a stylish design is not the most important criterion for users. The price difference between the models can vary greatly, on average, an improved A3 will cost you 4-8 thousand rubles more.

On the new smartphone it’s nice to play modern mobile games, while on the old model they will be a little “buggy”. The screen is noticeably improved in this device, so playing and watching movies on it is only a joy. Despite the improved main camera, the image quality has not changed so noticeably. If you don’t have much money, it’s best to give preference to the old A3.
