1C programs are two main components:
- a technological platform is the basis for configurations that does not have any user functionality and is not a program in itself, it is the basis for 1C configurations. 7.7, 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 are all designations of various platform versions, of which 7.7 is the ancient itself, 8.3 is relevant and actively developing in its mechanisms;
- configuration is a set of algorithms and mechanisms for processing information, forms, reports, etc., written on the basis of the platform and intended for accounting, tax, economic and other types of accounting. Configuration is the shell in which the user directly works (for example, 1C: Accounting, 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management, all kinds of industry configurations).
Below we will talk about the current platform 8.3 and configurations written on its basis.
Update tasks
Constantly changing legislation of the Russian Federation and regulatory documents, changing and introducing new forms of regulated accounting and tax reporting require periodic changes to the 1C programs. In addition, the developers of 1C identify possible software errors, refine the calculation mechanisms and the user interface for more convenience in working with the program. For all these purposes, 1C develops and releases configuration updates, which in some cases require another platform.
The full update cycle of the current 1C program is to consistently:
- update platform 8.3 (if required by the configuration);
- update configuration 8.3.
1C releases are not accumulative, i.e. each subsequent one does not include all the previous ones. One or two are allowed, but in general, the program should be regularly updated to keep records up to date.
Users of basic versions, having registered at users.v8.1c.ru, have the opportunity to update themselves. For the PROF version, obtaining licensed updates is available with a valid contract (ITS).
Platform update 8.3
New releases of the 1C: Enterprise 8 technology platform are offered by developers in the form of two distributions:
- complete distribution kit for installation from scratch;
- an update distribution kit that includes the latest changes and is supplied on the ITS disk or available for download on the user's website.
How to update 1c 8.3 yourself:
Before any serious work with the program, you must make a copy of the database! To do this, just copy the data folder to an external source or another hard drive on your computer. In case of problems during the update process or their subsequent identification, it will always be possible to return to the original version. We remind you that when, all program updates are included in the terms of the contract.
If the update was successful, when you click on the button, the change in the configuration structure will be completed, and you can verify this by the release number by clicking on the information icon in the upper right corner of the program. 
To update the 1C platform, you can contact a specialist, or you can do it yourself, there is nothing complicated. Let's look at how to do it yourself in two easy steps.

Naturally, we are interested in the latter, that is, the upper one. Again we click on the link and here we select the platform for Windows (this section contains platforms for Linux, Server 1C: Enterprise, and much more, it is important not to confuse!):
Finally, we can download the distribution. In the next window, click on the link “ Download distribution kit". We save the distribution kit to some folder on the disk. Your browser may automatically start downloading if it has a default folder configured.
Now we are looking for the downloaded file in the explorer. The distribution file is an archive, so it must be unpacked into a separate folder.
2. Installation of platform 1C
It should be noted that the platform update process is no different from. we discussed earlier. It turns out that in order to download the 1C platform distribution kit and install it. By the way, you don't need to delete the previous version of the platform. Different versions of the 1C platform easily get along on a PC, and when we launch 1C itself, it will automatically select the required version of the platform.
Platform 1C: Enterprise 8.3 ➾ If you have a standard (no changes and modifications) configuration of 1C: Enterprise, then it is quite easy to update the platform. This article will help you understand the platform update, ✔ without resorting to the help of a specialist.
This article discusses the most common platform update option (for example, updating from platform 8.2.19.130 to 8.3.6.2299) - updating the 1C: Enterprise platform for Windows on the user's computer, when downloading the update distribution from the user support site.
Download the distribution kit for updating the 1C platform: Pidpriєmstvo 8.1, 8.2, 8.3To update (install) the technological platform, you must download the update distribution kit. To do this, on the Information Technology Support Portal website, go to the Software Update page by clicking on the Learn more button in the Software Update section (Fig. 1).

On the “1C: Software update” page, click the “Download software update” button to go to the authorization parameters and enter your login and password (Fig. 2).
How can I find out the current version of the platform?This can be done as shown in Fig.H.
In the opened window of the list of available products for downloading, you need to select the section "Technology platform 8.3", then the platform version (for example 8.3.6.2299). Then you need to select the item "Technological platform 1C: Enterprise for Windows", and click on the hyperlink "Download the distribution kit" (Fig. 3).

How to find out your version of the 1C: Enterprise platform?Open the program. Click Help / About ... The version of your platform is shown in brackets next to the logo:
Creating a backup copy of the infobaseBefore updating the platform, all users must complete the program. Next, go to 1C: Enterprise in the "Configurator" mode, and unload the database (Fig. 3.1):
We save it anywhere on your hard drive. (Fig. 3.2)
Tip: create a folder "Archives" or "Backup", where you will always save a backup copy of the database before updating. Indicate the date of saving in the file name (it will be more convenient to search for the necessary copy of the database, if necessary).
If you managed to download the 1C: Enterprise of the required version, you need to unzip the platform files. Next, you need to install the platform by clicking on the setup.exe file in the unzipped folder (Fig. 4).

Platform update version 8.3 (file version) infobaseTo start installing the platform (according to example 1C: Enterprise 8.3), you need to click the "Next" button (Fig. 5).

At the next step, you select the set of platform components and the folder for installation. The composition of the components does not need to be changed, it is recommended to install 1C: Enterprise in the default folder. After selecting, click "Next" (Fig. 6).

Next, you need to select the installation language (Russian / Ukrainian), or set the value "System settings", in this case 1C: Enterprise will be installed in the language of the operating system. After selection, you must click the "Next" button (Fig. 7).

Everything is now ready to start the installation. Press the "Install" button (Fig. 8).

After installation, at the last step, the system will offer to install the protection key driver.
It is only needed if hardware protection is used, i.e. USB HASP dongle. If a software license is used without a USB HASP protection key, uncheck the flag.
Also, if a USB HASP security key is used and the platform is being updated rather than installing for the first time, then the installation of the security driver is not required, since it is already installed along with the older release of the platform. To continue the installation, click the "Next" button (Fig. 10).

After the window with the notification about the completion of installation is displayed, you need to click the "Finish" button (Fig. 11).

Before performing the update, all users need to exit the program.

Installing platform 1C
After unpacking, look for the setup.exe file in the list of files and run it (Fig. 2):

The next step is to install the “Protection driver” (Fig. 6). It must be installed if you have hardware keys, but if the program keys are software, then the checkbox must be removed.

Installing and updating the 1C 8.2 / 8.3 platform for the file version of the work.
In order to install / update the 1C 8.2 platform for the Microsoft Windows operating system, we need its distribution kit. Let's consider the most common 1C Enterprise installation option. For example, let's take the platform of the 1C Enterprise software product 8.2.19.106. Other platform versions are installed by analogy.
Installing / updating the platform distribution kit version 1C 8.3 is similar to version 8.2, so this instruction will work for it too.
Before starting, you need to download the installation files for the 1C Enterprise platform distribution kit. If you have a subscription to ITS (Information Technology Support), everything is simple, go to the site users.v8.1c.ru and download the necessary. For basic versions of configurations, ITS subscription is not required. Detailed instructions for downloading the distribution from the users site.
It is also possible to install the distribution kit from the "ITS Supplement" disk. If you choose this installation option, you should pay attention to the date of its release, since the platform must be up-to-date, otherwise the configuration of a newer release will simply not start, giving an error. So, the distribution is downloaded, open the folder with the distribution and see the following picture:
Run the installer file named "setup.exe" highlighted in the picture above.
After starting the installation program, a welcome window opens, click the "Next" button
A window for selecting components opens, and the path to the platform files is also written. It is advisable to select the first three items. Also, if, on a computer, you plan to use remote access to databases, through a thin client or a web browser, you must add a "web server extension module" (Works only with managed applications).
Next, a window for selecting the interface language opens. If you have a Russian-language operating system, we leave the default "System settings", well, or choose at your discretion:
Then the installer informs about readiness. Click "Install":
The program installs the components we have selected. We are waiting for the end of the process.Next, the installer asks if we need a hardware key protection driver? If you use the "Hardware security key" (USB device in blue), then leave the check mark. If the licenses are software licenses (Envelope with PIN codes), you can uncheck the box. In any case, you can install / uninstall the driver later, you can read about it. Click "Next":
