For the lazy, a short summary: I really liked the sound; as an external usb sound card, bluetooth, connection via audio wire, mp3 from the card - everything works; The card reader is working, but very slow; Free hands works, but the microphone sensitivity is low.

I was looking for the cheapest bluetooth speaker offline. I wanted to output sound from the Android TV box through it in order to hear calls on Skype when the TV is turned off, so the sound does not come through it.

Alas, I didn’t find anything decent cheaper than 2-3 thousand. And this is in Moscow... perhaps it was worth going to the radio market, I would probably have found some Chinese equivalent of the speaker under review there at a price of 1300-1500 rubles. But I was frankly lazy and then I bought ordinary wired speakers for 600 rubles. And then, by the way, I received a coupon from panda for $25 for a phone review. So, I paid a couple of bucks and ordered this column.

This device came in a rather nice box made of thick cardboard with magnetic latches. The box was immediately stolen by the wife to store all sorts of small things.

Appearance

The speaker is stated to be 5W, but I couldn’t check it, I couldn’t get to it: (The case is metal, painted in one of 3 colors. The lower part is plastic. There are connectors on the side - miniUSB for charging and connecting to a computer, mini-HDD 3.5 for wired connections to a sound source, a card reader for microSD and 2 LEDs for status indication.

Now we turn the column over and see the control buttons at the bottom - in the center is the on/off button. Around it are buttons for play/pause and answering a call using the speaker's microphone when connected to a phone. Well, 2 buttons ± - short press - scroll through tracks, long press - change the volume.

The buttons are pressed clearly. Because Since the main purpose is passive music playback, the location of the buttons does not cause any particular inconvenience. Around the buttons there is a silicone ring, designed to strengthen the contact of the speaker with the surface on which it stands. The fact is that the speaker uses a low-frequency resonance system, which uses the surface on which the speaker stands to improve bass transmission. A lot of debris and dust sticks to this rubber band, but it can be cleaned without question with a damp cloth.

Turn on

When turned on, a short, pleasant melody is played. The same sounds are made when connecting to a computer, inserting a memory card and some other cases. I would say that the main disadvantage is the inability to adjust their volume; during the day it’s no big deal, but in the evening it’s quite loud.

Sound

The main thing in a speaker is the sound. My hearing is not musical. But I really liked the way it sounded. The sound was much better than I expected from a mono speaker. According to my feelings, it is “deep” and “juicy”. Installing the speaker on a suitable surface significantly improves bass transmission. A wooden table surface is best. By the way, at full volume, the mouse cursor lying on the same table begins to jump across the screen due to vibration. However, if you turn it down, there is no interference

About volume. The volume is good. It is quite sufficient for the room and screams loudly. I haven’t tried it on the street, but there are suspicions that the volume will not be enough at a noisy barbecue. This speaker is clearly louder and more suitable for a noisy street.

Connections

Well, everything is standard here, a standard 3.5 audio jack, a connection cable included. By the way, the sound over the wire is louder than over Bluetooth.

I tried to talk through the microphone built into the speaker, connecting it to the phone as a headset. You can hear your interlocutor normally through the speaker, but you can only hear me if you hold the hole where the microphone is, 2-3 cm near your mouth. Perhaps it will help to dig this hole out more; it is much smaller than the microphone. Well, or you can solder the microphone to a new one if you need this function. I remember this advice (about soldering the microphone and that) came across in a review of some phone, but what did you want from a mini speaker?

I got a max size card - 16GB. 32 and 64 were chewed for a long time and did not work, maybe there were a lot of files or they needed to be formatted in some other way, I don’t know - I didn’t understand.

The phone may ask you to enter a PIN code, by default it is 0000. Enter the PIN and the connection will be established. To turn down or turn up the volume on the speaker, press and hold the rewind button for a few seconds. A short press on this button will change the song being played. You can also connect a player that does not have bluetooth functionality to the MP3/MP4 speaker. To do this, use the cable supplied to connect the player's output to the AUX jack of the speaker. To complete the connection, you need to press the “MODE” button at the bottom of the speaker; an orange (red) indicator above the AUX jack will light up, indicating that the connection to the player is currently active. Through the connected player you can listen to both music and FM radio. In the same way, using a cable, you can connect the speaker to the output of the sound card of a desktop computer.

The body of this model is made of metal. The main control buttons are located on the top panel. The speaker is presented in the form of a small cylinder with an additional charging station. The station's battery capacity is 1020 mAh. At the bottom there is a power button and a contact pad for connecting to the charging station. To turn on the speaker, you need to move the corresponding switch so that the red dot is no longer visible. You will hear a voice message and see a flashing blue circle in the upper plane. The wireless communication mode will turn on automatically, or for connection you may need to press the >II “Pause/Play” button and hold it briefly for 5-10 seconds. To adjust the volume of the speaker, you can use the corresponding buttons with the image of a speaker by making short presses.

To pair the speaker in wireless bluetooth connection mode, go to the menu of your phone, tablet or laptop, make sure that the bluetooth function on your device is turned on. The start of the phone charging procedure can be determined by the corresponding indication on it. After charging is completed, the station must be charged by switching to the CH position. 3. Bluetooth Asimom III DS-1189.

The main difference between the Asimom III model and Asimom is the presence of a touch panel for volume control. That is, to add or decrease the volume, just lightly touch it around the blue-lit circle on the top cover, or gently touch the corresponding arrow indicators. The battery is charged contactlessly. Just connect the charging station and install the switched-on speaker on it. The red ring on the station will flash slowly and the speaker will be charging. If the battery is low or full, you will hear an audio message in English. Which will prompt you to charge the battery or turn off the power after fully charged. The charging station can be used as an additional charger for your mobile phone. To charge your phone, turn the switch on the station to the PS position. Connect your phone using the appropriate cable provided and press the Mode button. If your phone/smartphone supports the NFC function (interaction with another device via radio), you can use it to charge the battery from the dock. Asimom III speaker stations.
