Intertelecom Internet does not work what happened. Why does the Internet from Intertelecom not work (updated). Missing or not missing - that is the question

The Odessa company "Intertelecom", which is being searched by the SBU officers, has partially stopped working throughout Ukraine.
The company claims that the Security Service suspected the operator of assisting the Russian special services. Allegedly, "Intertelecom" helps the FSB and the GRU of the Russian Federation to wiretap Ukrainian subscribers.
The general director of the company, Boris Akulov, said that he appealed to the president of Ukraine, the prosecutor general and the head of the SBU with a request to influence his subordinates. "We offered them unlimited access to the network equipment and its monitoring nodes, but they refused to perform all actions without disrupting communication and threatened to turn off the equipment in any case," Akulov said in an urgent message.
Currently telephone communications from "Intertelecom" is, but Mobile Internet does not work. Journalists complain that difficulties have arisen today, because information is transmitted through Intertelecom's routers.
In Odessa, for example, due to the disabling of this mobile operator problems arose in the work of the Bond taxi, owned by the deputy head of the BPP faction, Aleksey Goncharenko, all of whose drivers receive orders via the mobile Internet from Intertelecom.

On November 11, 2016, more than a million Internet telecom 3G Internet users were left without connection. The network was partially disconnected due to searches by the SBU in the operator's offices (including the central one in Odessa) with the seizure of the main equipment. At the moment, the company's specialists are trying to connect the old equipment. The network can be restored by the end of this day.

On November 11, 2016, more than a million Internet telecom 3G Internet users were left without connection. The network was partially disconnected due to searches by the SBU in the operator's offices (including the central one in Odessa) with the seizure of the main equipment. On November 12, the company's specialists started connecting the old equipment. The network was restored on the morning of November 13.

The essence of the claims

The security service suspected Intertelecom of assisting the Russian special services. On official page The SBU said on Facebook that “one of the Ukrainian telecom services enterprises” transferred part of its equipment and network in Crimea to Russian providers, thus continuing to provide services on the territory of the peninsula. Department officials discovered server hardware that was used to route traffic. It is assumed that this communication channel could be controlled by the special services of the Russian Federation.

What Intertelecom says

As noted by the general director of the company Boris Akulov, they offered the SBU employees to provide unlimited access to equipment and monitoring nodes so as not to disrupt the network, but they refused. Intertelecom claims they are not the very "one" operator that the Security Service reported on Facebook. The very decision of the court to conduct investigative actions in Intertelecom was called unfounded, and that all assumptions about the company's illegal actions were refuted - the SBU did not find any evidence.

Intertelecom believes that the main purpose of the searches was to put pressure on the company and "deliberately causing colossal harm" in order to seize a tidbit of the promoted business and eliminate the operator as a competitor.

“All the company's traffic is checked by the State Center for Radio Frequencies, which continuously documents where and where the calls are coming from, and monitors the order of their routing. Acts are signed every month, so the accusations of Intertelecom in violation of these rules, especially malicious, in the interests of foreign special services are complete absurdity and incompetence, which was proved at the very beginning of the investigation, ”said the general director of Intertelecom.

How the network works now

After a complete shutdown of the network in Intertelecom, voice communication was relatively quickly restored. Internet access appeared only on the morning of November 13th.

Updated 2: Intertelecom reported about the restoration of the network.

Updated: The company expects to restore the functioning of the network by the morning of November 13. Below is a release on the results of the company's press conference, which took place in the central office of Intertelecom on November 12.

The primary task of the company is to restore the uninterrupted provision of communication services. " - emphasized Boris Nikolaevich.

Reference: 11/11/2016, employees of the Kiev units of the Security Service of Ukraine, accompanied by fighters of the Alpha unit and in the presence of witnesses prepared by them in advance, carried out an unjustified illegal investigative action to search and seize key station telecommunications equipment, violating the integrity and operability of the telecommunications network of Intertelecom LLC ". The deliberate actions of the SBU officers to seize technical equipment and servers from Intertelecom led to the disconnection of the data transmission network of more than a million subscribers throughout Ukraine.

Head of the Legal Department S.A. Podokopny noted that, following the legislation of Ukraine, the Intertelecom company does not comment on the actions of the SBU employees during the investigative actions in the operator's office and does not disclose the materials of the investigative actions, but reports that during these events the legal right of Intertelecom to professional protection was limited. SBU officers denied the company the right to have a lawyer present during the investigation. The reasons for the violation of rights were not commented on by law enforcement officers.

All violations by the SBU found their reflection in the protocols, which are part of the investigative materials.

The mobile operator "Intertelecom" has restored the network operation.

"Dear subscribers, as a result of the hard work of Intertelecom employees after the seizure of technological equipment by the SBU, we are pleased to announce that the network has been restored! Thank you for your support!", The operator's Facebook page says.

In addition, on its website, the company told the details of the search, which was carried out on November 11 by employees of the Kiev units of the Security Service of Ukraine, accompanied by soldiers of the Alpha unit.

"The SBU officers, in the presence of the attesting witnesses prepared in advance, carried out an unjustified illegal investigative action to search and seize key station telecommunications equipment, violating the integrity and operability of the telecommunications network of Intertelecom LLC. The deliberate actions of the SBU officers to seize technical equipment and servers from Intertelecom led to disconnect the data transmission network of more than a million subscribers throughout Ukraine, "the message says.

The company stressed that they have not yet commented on the actions of the SBU officers during the investigation and have not disclosed the materials of the investigation, but they believe that in the course of these events the legal right of Intertelecom to professional protection was limited. "The SBU officers denied the company the right to have a lawyer present during the investigation. The reasons for the violation of rights were not commented on by the security services. All violations by the SBU were reflected in the protocols, which are part of the investigative materials," it said.

Also in "Intertelecom" noted that the employees of the SBU cut off the network, despite the fact that there was no technical need for this. In "Intertelecom" they assure that they provided the employees of the investigative group with all accesses, schemes and technical means, which allow monitoring traffic, but, despite this, the SBU officers de-energized the most important nodes and seized equipment.

"All the company's traffic is checked by the State Center of Radio Frequencies, continuously documents where and from where the calls come, and monitors the order of their routing. Acts are signed every month, so the charges against Intertelecom in violation of these rules, all the more in malicious, in the interests of foreign special services - this is complete absurdity and incompetence, which was proved at the very beginning of the investigation, "- the press service quotes the words of the general director of Intertelecom Boris Akulov.

As reported, on November 11, the network of the telecommunications operator LLC "Intertelecom" was disconnected due to the seizure of the company's equipment by the employees of the Security Service of Ukraine.

"We are compelled to report that due to the actions of the SBU, the main equipment in the offices of Intertelecom has been disconnected and withdrawn. Currently, more than a million 3G Internet users throughout Ukraine are left without communication," the operator's Facebook page said on Friday.

As reported, on Friday, November 11, the SBU blocked an unauthorized communication channel with the temporarily occupied Crimea, which may have been controlled by the Russian special services.

The SBU clarified that during searches in the technical and office premises of the telecom services enterprise, the SBU operatives found server equipment that was used to route traffic from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. A significant amount of cash was also seized from the merchants.

On this fact, criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 111 (high treason) and Article 361 (unauthorized interference in the operation of electronic computers (computers), automated systems, computer networks or telecommunication networks) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. "Urgent operational investigative actions are underway," the SBU said.

Intertelecom LLC is a national CDMA operator. Provides services to local and mobile communications CDMA standard, as well as wireless Internet access in all regions of Ukraine.

As we already know, the SBU conducted a search in the offices of Intertelecom on suspicion of transferring equipment to providers in Crimea. Currently, the operator has issued an official statement, in which he accused representatives of law enforcement agencies of gross violation of the norms of the criminal process and illegal investigative actions to search and seize key station telecommunications equipment. Below is the full text of the statement.

The administration of Intertelecom LLC hereby informs all state authorities of Ukraine, subscribers, business entities - business partners and the public of Ukraine that today, 11/11/2016, employees of Kiev units of the Security Service of Ukraine, accompanied by fighters of the Alpha unit and in the presence of pre-prepared their attesting witnesses, in gross violation of the norms of the criminal procedure, carried out an unjustified illegal investigative action to search and seize key station telecommunications equipment, violating the integrity and operability of the telecommunications network of Intertelecom LLC.

Investigative actions were carried out with gross violations of both the right to defense and the obligation to record them on video at the request of the participants in the investigative action - the employees of Intertelecom LLC, which eloquently testifies to the awareness of the illegal actions of their actions by law enforcement officials.

Before the start of actions aimed at destroying the integrity and operability of the telecommunications network of Intertelecom LLC, the SBU employees were provided with full assistance by the Operator's specialists in the investigation and to achieve the goal formulated in the court decision. None of the suspicions and assumptions set forth in the court's decision to carry out investigative actions have found any confirmation.

Before the start of the investigative actions, the SBU officers were informed by the technical specialists of the Operator that in order to achieve the goal formulated in a hastily constructed court decision, there is no need to destroy the operability of the Operator's network and this can be achieved by other means, which was also confirmed by technical specialists brought by the SBU officers themselves.

Special attention should be paid to the fact that the decision of the court, on the basis of which the investigative action was carried out, was based on an unfounded and incompetent assumption of one of the specialists in the telecommunications industry and one of the employees of the SBU, which was completely refuted during the investigation itself. However, this did not stop the security officials.

Despite the advance warning about the possibility to fully carry out an investigative action without destroying the Operator's telecommunications network, confirmed by technical specialists brought by the SBU officers themselves, law enforcement officers deliberately destroyed the integrity and operability of the Operator's telecommunications network.

These actions of the SBU employees clearly confirm that in fact the latter did not set themselves any other goal, except for pressure on Intertelecom LLC and deliberately causing colossal harm to the Operator.

Obviously realizing the unlawfulness of their actions, the SBU officers hastened to disseminate in the media and the Internet false information about the alleged suppression of the illegal activities of "one of the" operators in organizing communication between the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Ukraine and interaction with the special services of the Russian Federation, which has no basis in case with our enterprise.

With this message, Intertelecom LLC appeals to all the state authorities of Ukraine with an appeal, based on the principles of publicity and the rule of law in Ukraine, to take all the actions provided for by law aimed at restoring the grossly violated rights and legitimate interests of Intertelecom LLC, to restore the completely disturbed operation of the enterprise , trampled on the rule of law and prevent the dominance of the arbitrariness of the security forces, carried out on far-fetched pretexts.

At the moment, the deliberate actions of the SBU officers to seize technical equipment and servers from Intertelecom have already led to the disconnection of the data transmission network of subscribers throughout Ukraine. At the moment, more than a million remain without communication throughout Ukraine.

Due to the disconnection of the main systems, degradation of the system occurs, which may lead to the disconnection of voice communications for subscribers throughout Ukraine.

Hey! To begin with, I myself use the Internet from Intertelecom from time to time (and lately, I only use it)... So, I know very well what it means to lose the Internet, the speed drops, it is not possible to connect to the Internet, etc. I decided to write my thoughts on this matter. Just wondering, is it just me who have such problems with this provider, or is it all like that (which is most likely).

I have already seen questions on the network more than once, such as: "Internet from Intertelecom disappears, what to do", "Internet speed drops significantly", etc. Please note that this article is about problems that appear after setting up the modem, when you have everything works, and problems appear periodically. If immediately after setting up the modem, you have a bad Internet speed from Internettelecom, then try, or.

If anyone is interested, then I have modem Huawei EC 306, unlimited and it all works. That is, the router distributes the Internet from a 3G USB modem to all devices via Wi-Fi. However, it doesn't matter. You just have a 3G modem connected to your computer. I also sometimes connect directly, but the problems described in this article remain.

Intertelecom: why the Internet is disconnected and it is impossible to connect

Let's get closer to the topic of the article. Basically, the internet works fine. And the speed on the new tariff is good, plus unlimited. But, there are often problems that I think everyone is familiar with. It happens that the internet just doesn't work for several hours... Either works, but on very, very low speed... It is almost impossible to use it. Also, sometimes my 3G modem is just does not connect to the internet... If on a computer, then this is usually error 678 " Remote computer does not answer "... This error is probably familiar to everyone who uses 3G Internet, and not only from Intertelecom. There are other mistakes too.

And the most interesting thing is that a couple of minutes ago everything worked, and suddenly the Internet was gone. There may be a connection status "no Internet access". Sometimes, simply disconnecting from the Internet and reconnecting saves. Even then, the speed can be very low. Or it won't be able to reconnect at all. And after a while, everything goes away, and the Internet starts working normally. I also noticed that when such problems appear, then either the green indicator on my modem is on or flashing. This means that the modem simply does not see the signal. (I may be wrong, correct me).

That is, it turns out that these are not problems in the computer, not in the modem, and not even in the router. These are some failures at the base station at the Intertelecom provider. It is obvious. Since we connect to different base stations, such problems may appear in different ways, or not at all. Here you are already as lucky. It seems to me that everything depends on the workload of the base station. The more clients on the BS, the more problems with the Internet, and it affects the speed very well.

I also noticed that I already had several times in the evenings, the speed dropped almost completely, even the pages in the browser did not open. Here are the measurements in one evening:

And after a few hours everything started working again. The speed was normal. I understand the speed can be slower in the evenings, but not so much.

Support calls. When the Internet was no longer working for several hours, of course I called Intertelecom's support. They never advised me anything specific there. They say base station works fine, no problem. It is advised to check the connection settings, or try to create a new connection to Intertelecom. Well, you must admit, this is complete nonsense. After all, a couple of minutes ago everything worked, what could have changed in these settings 🙂

I understand that there are some technical problems, and so on. But something very often happens. And when you sit for several hours and wait for the Internet to work again, it’s somehow not very pleasant. It is not clear what you are paying for. If someone from Intertelecom is reading this, please make sure that everything works stably and without interruptions.

Update

In the comments, Ivan wrote that he solved the problem with connection breaks by disconnecting the built-in antenna on the modem. When an external antenna is connected to the modem. You can also turn off hybrid mode. I have not tested it myself, but perhaps these solutions will be useful to someone. Google the instructions for disconnecting the external antenna specifically for your modem. Most likely there are instructions on the net.

conclusions

If your Internet connection via a 3G USB modem worked well, and suddenly stopped, there were problems with the connection, or the speed dropped, and at the same time you did not change anything (in the settings), then this is definitely a problem on the side of the provider. Most likely, you just need to wait and everything will work.

If the problem persists, then call the support of the Intertelecom provider (if you have this provider)... At least let them know about the problem. Maybe something will help.

Even when I was writing this article, the Internet began to work very unstable, the speed dropped dramatically, the connection was disconnected all the time. Even the speed test couldn't do. Probably they didn’t want me to publish this article 🙂

How does the Internet from Intertelecom work for you? Are there any problems that I wrote about in the article? If so, how often, and what do you do. Share in the comments.
